I know she knew
Deep down, I know she knew. It wasn't a clear picture, but rather something she had a hard time putting into words, something she felt but couldn't express. I was afraid that someday she would manage to formulate all the questions that had been building up - in silence - over the years. I was afraid that I'd have to answer, (...). I hoped she didn't think too much about these things, and that in the end she would just forget.
